Oil
Our former garbage man in ND struck oil on his property so is not driving the garbage truck anymore. I am so very pleased for him. How cool is that?

Its way cool! I hope he has/kept his mineral rights to the property.
Glad to hear your truck was up to snuff for travel.
Is there going to be another book after 'Sister to the Rain'?

It appears that he did, since he's now spending a good deal more money than he had before, building houses for relatives and whatnot.

I don't seem to write anymore. I still think about it, but when I've sat down to try to finish books I couldn't sell back when I was a working writer (such as the sequel to Sister, or further Skyrider books), I find I'm just really not interested anymore in quick-fisted heroines. It's by no means certain I'll never write those, but I'd advise against breath-holding. Seems a fair chance that if I ever do write again, it'll be something completely different.
